The Führer Headquarters (Werwolf)
In German “Werwolf” means werewolf. Some researchers claim that Hitler consulted psychics and astrologists from Institute of occult sciences in Berlin. “Werwolf” was to be the magical center meant to unite scattered European countries. All the military prisoners, who built the headquarter and the engineers, who designed it were murdered under mysterious circumstances.
The Savoy Hotel
Before Christianity, our ancestors were pagans. The legend says that on the site of the Savoy hotel there was once a chapel where they worshiped Chornoboh. They believed that Chornoboh was the god who took the souls of the deceased to the other world. One could ask the god of darkness to see the dead ones in their sleep.
The castle hill
The castle hill is considered to be the place of force. It is believed that our ancestors knew how to choose the powerful mystical places. The remnants of Trypillia culture were found there in the 60s and the archeological excavations continue until now.
Hrokholskyi Palace
For its long history Hrokholskyi Palace couldn’t help but acquire numerous legends. One of them says that beneath the palace there are secret underground tunnels built as an emergency exit in case of peasant rebellion. It is also believed that family’s treasures are hidden somewhere in the tunnels. Although the entrance to the tunnel as well as the treasures themselves have not been found yet.
Jesuit Monastery
In the building of the former monastery there is now the city archive. It is told that from time to time a ghost of a monk walks through the corridors of the building. After his appearance the priests hold a memorial service so that the dead ones would rest in peace.
Knyzhka
The building was constructed in late Soviet times and except the visible part, there is even larger underground part. There were rumors that Knyzhka was the center of the underground city and all the hidden underground tunnels from the whole city come together into it.
Psychiatric hospital
One of the most legendary places in Vinnytsia, the psychiatric hospital, doesn’t even need to make up legends. It is said that among the medications used in the hospital there was phlebotomy, burns, leeches and famine. Belts, straightjackets and hand -cuffs were also used there. As a result it is believed that there are ghosts in this hospital.
